Our client is a European start-up specializing in electronic warfare, secure communications, and precision localization technologies for the defense sector.

Key points of the position:

Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will design and implement the company's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with defense industry standards while supporting the growth of a fast-scaling technology organization.

As a QMS / Quality Management Manager / Engineer, your missions will include:

• Designing, implementing, and continuously improving a structured Quality Management System adapted to a fast-growing defense technology company,
• Leading certification initiatives such as ISO 9001 and supporting alignment with aerospace and defense standards including EN 9100 and AQAP 2110/2210,
• Planning and conducting internal audits across engineering, operations, and management teams,
• Managing non-conformities and driving corrective and preventive action processes (CAPA),
• Establishing supplier quality management practices including supplier qualification, audits, and incoming quality control processes,
• Ensuring full traceability of requirements, design decisions, manufacturing steps, and validation activities,
• Preparing the organization for external audits from certification bodies, government authorities, or major defense contractors.

Necessary skills:

• You must have proven experience in Quality Management or Quality Assurance,
• Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or medical device industries is strongly appreciated,
• You possess strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience implementing or maintaining QMS frameworks,
• Familiarity with EN 9100, AQAP standards, or similar regulated industry frameworks is highly desirable,
• You have experience conducting internal audits and managing CAPA processes,
• You are structured, pragmatic, and able to implement compliance processes without slowing down engineering teams,
• Fluent German and English are imperative.

Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is required : German or EU Citizenchip mandatory.

Salary: 75-105k euros gross annual.
