Research Position (Postdoc) (m\/f\/d)

Your Tasks

research (75 %):

• development and running of lattice QCD simulation and analysis codes, in the context of thermal QCD ensembles on highly anisotropic lattices
• participation in biweekly FASTSUM collaboration meetings
• evaluation and interpretation of results, including analytical calculations
• involvement in writing publications and presentation of scientific results at conferences
• participation at workshops and other events, e.g. as organised within the CRC TR211

teaching (22 %):

• participate in teaching (4 LVS)

administrative duties (3 %)

Your Profile

We expect

• successfully completed PhD degree in theoretical physics (completed by the start of employment)
• demonstrable prior experience in lattice field theory
• experience with programming and numerical methods, preferably including on high-performance computing facilities
• ability to work well in a team
• good knowledge of English in written and spoken form

Preferred experience and skills

• good presentation and moderation skills
