The Intel Compiler Engineering Team is a high-performing, global group responsible for delivering industry-leading compiler solutions. We continuously push the boundaries of compiler technology to ensure optimal performance across Intel's platforms, including both CPUs and GPUs.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and talented Compiler Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of GPU-focused compiler technologies.

In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize compiler functionality to improve performance and efficiency across advanced GPU systems and AI-driven workloads.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art compiler translations and optimizations targeting GPU architectures
  • Investigate, prototype, and deliver new techniques to improve performance and efficiency
  • Analyze workloads, perform benchmarking, and evaluate compiler behavior on real hardware
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance compiler support for AI and data center applications
  • Contribute to improving compilation technologies aligned with modern hardware features


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field with 4+ years of experience, or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++
  • Knowledge of LLVM internals and/or GPU/CPU compiler technologies
  • Familiarity with modern software development tools and practices
Nice to Have
  • Experience developing compiler optimizations (middle-end or backend)
  • Background in performance analysis and tuning
  • Understanding of GPU architecture and programming models
  • Experience with GPU compute APIs such as OpenCL or OneAPI
  • Familiarity with heterogeneous systems and AI workloads

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Germany is: 72 030,00 € - €130,300.00The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.

Work Model for this Role
