Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least six (6) months of general experience. Examples of specialized experience includes progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the Base Recycle Center Clerk position, such as facilitating inspections and audits by providing facility access and records. Performs work that enhances the safety of the work environment. Handling work that requires good understanding of structure and workflow in the organization being served.

EDUCATION: ???????I have successfully completed one year of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.

- Operate Base Recycling Center (BRC).
- Assist with inspections and documentation of deficiencies.
- Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures.

- Background Investigation (SF-85) - This position requires the selectee to be capable and willing to submit to an extensive background investigation to verify my suitability for employment.
- Travel and relocation expenses are not authorized. Recruitment limited ONLY to the local commuting area of Spangdahlem, Germany.
- This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
- Work may require evening or weekend hours.
- Special safety precautions such as protective clothing and gear may be required.
- Work is performed in both office and equipment yard environments in a variety of weather conditions including hot, cold, dry, wet, windy, and dusty. Moving vehicles are common, and the ground surface may be uneven.
- Disclosure of Political Appointments
- No equipment operation required, but inspection of bin contents using access stairs is required.
- Employees and family members requiring medical/dental care in the overseas location are responsible for obtaining/paying for care. Access for these members to military medical/dental treatment facilities is on space-available/reimbursable basis only.
- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
