Working Student, Onboarding Specialist
About the Role:
Planet is looking for an Onboarding Specialist Working Student to support onboarding programs that help customers successfully adopt and use Planet data, platforms, and workflows. In this role, you will support customer onboarding activities, assist with training sessions and communications, and help maintain resources that enable customers to quickly realize value from Planet products.
You will work closely with the Onboarding Specialist, as well as Customer Success, Support, Education, and Solutions teams to support onboarding delivery across customer segments. This role combines customer-facing coordination with operational support and content maintenance to help ensure a smooth and consistent onboarding experience. This role sits within the Planet Education & Enablement team.
This is a part-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our Berlin office 2 days per week.
Impact You'll Own:
- Support customer onboarding activities, including scheduling, communications, and onboarding follow-ups
- Assist with the delivery of onboarding sessions and customer training programs for Planet products, platforms, and workflows
- Partner with Sales, Technical Support, Customer Success, and Solutions teams to help ensure smooth onboarding experiences for new customers
- Maintain and update onboarding resources, guides, and customer-facing materials across onboarding and education platforms
- Support onboarding communications and campaigns to encourage customer engagement and adoption
- Track onboarding feedback, common customer questions, and support trends to help identify opportunities for content and process improvements
- Help maintain consistent onboarding workflows and processes across customer engagements
- Assist with operational coordination for global onboarding activities across customer time zones
What You Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant field
- Solid communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Interest in customer onboarding, customer education, technical enablement, or customer success
- Familiarity with APIs, developer tools, or technical products
- Ability to learn new technical products and workflows quickly
- Technical aptitude, including comfort navigating technical documentation and troubleshooting common workflow issues
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working cross-functionally with customer-facing and technical teams
- Experience coordinating projects, trainings, meetings, or customer-facing activities through coursework, internships, student organizations, or previous work experience
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience working with geospatial, remote sensing, or scientific data products
- Familiarity with coding languages esp Python
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), customer education platforms, or help centers
- Exposure to onboarding automation, lifecycle communications, or customer engagement tools
- Experience supporting technical or developer-focused customers
- Fluency in multiple languages
