SUMMARY
The Software Engineer is responsible for design, development, testing and support of new and existing software components for the company's Reverse Vending Machine. The Software Engineer is responsible for identifying, documenting and fixing defects. The Software Engineer will work on low-level system software, driver integration, and user-space applications to ensure high performance, scalability, and security.

The Software Engineer is responsible for design, development, testing and support of new and existing software components for the company's Reverse Vending Machine. The Software Engineer is responsible for identifying, documenting and fixing defects. The Software Engineer will work on low-level system software, driver integration, and user-space applications to ensure high performance, scalability, and security.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Development and Implementation of Reverse Vending Machine Software / Databases (C++) for all products.
- Developing new Features for our product lines.
- Contribute to the definition of software requirements and functional operation of our system.
- Defect resolution of issues reported by our stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement of architecture, tools, and processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience - Within Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- Experience with MySQL (or variants), networking / distributed systems, Qt.
- MUST have High proficiency in C++ for Linux systems (minimum 2 years industry experience)
- 4 years Experience using Linux as a development platform.
- 2 years Experience with the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software packages.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
