These are your new challenges:

• Technology research and startup sourcing
  - Assessment of trends in climate technology: collecting, reviewing and analysing information on start-ups that align with CATL's strategic goals and have a high potential for a successful strategic investment
• Due diligence of start-ups
  - Assessing the investment risks and opportunities of start-ups, taking into account various aspects such as market, team, technology, product, intellectual property and legal compliance
• Expansion of the investment network and technical knowledge
  - Support the expansion of CATL's investment network, in particular with leading academics, technology transfer offices, start-ups, public funding organisations, market companions and venture capital firms
  - Participation in public events and network meetings

These are your previous achievements:

• Successfully completed degree in a STEM subject such as maths, physics, materials science, chemistry, robotics, energy, nuclear or solar engineering, environmental or climate technology
• Technical knowledge that goes beyond batteries, e.g. in the areas of hydrogen, carbon capture, artificial intelligence, environmentally friendly production
• Experience in research, development and innovation, including technology transfer, publishing and analysing scientific papers and intellectual property, e.g. patent application
• Excellent project, task and time management skills
• Curious and open mindset and quick learning ability for new technologies, awareness of global market trends and critical evaluation of the role new technologies will play in the future
• Entrepreneurial business acumen with a strong ability to create value for internal and external stakeholders
• Strong networking and relationship building skills, strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience
• Strong written and spoken English skills are required; knowledge of German, French and Mandarin is an advantage
• Enjoy working in an international team
• High willingness to travel
