Electronics Working Student / Student Assistant (f/m/d) - Quantum Hardware Development

We are looking for a motivated TUM student to support electronics assembly, PCB fabrication, laboratory operations, and hardware testing. The role offers hands-on experience with production equipment, measurement systems, and real-world engineering workflows in advanced quantum hardware development.
Interested in gaining hands-on experience with real quantum hardware?
We are looking for a motivated student to support electronics development and laboratory operations in the quantum technology ecosystem at the TGarching Research Campus.
Your tasks include:
• Operating and maintaining laboratory and production equipment, including Pick-and-Place and Reflow Soldering systems
• Preparing machine databases and production programs
• Fabricating sample PCBs and room-temperature amplifier electronics
• Performing visual and functional inspections of manufactured components
• Conducting VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) measurements for component acceptance and testing
Your profile:
• Enrolled student at TUM in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Reliable, precise, and comfortable with hands-on engineering work
• Structured and detail-oriented working style
• Experience with electronics assembly, laboratory equipment, or VNA measurements is a plus
The position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in electronics manufacturing, testing, and hardware development within an innovative quantum technology environment.
