Senior Manager, Cross-Functional Creative Team, Marketing
About the Role:
Planet is looking for a Senior Manager, Cross-Functional Creative Team, to lead our EMEA-based Creative Studio. In this pivotal role, you will act as both a master of craft and a strategic lead, bridging the gap between global corporate marketing strategies and local, regional field execution. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will own the end-to-end creative lifecycle for a global leader in AI-driven Earth observation, focusing heavily on driving pipeline generation and supporting our regional field marketing and sales teams.
You aren't just an individual contributor; you are a brand steward responsible for adapting Planet's global identity for regional audiences and market nuances. You will manage the production of high-impact, multi-channel localized content-ranging from digital ads and email campaigns to regional trade show booths and environmental graphics-while ensuring strict brand consistency across every touchpoint. By balancing high-volume regional execution with long-term strategy, you will ensure our design systems evolve at the same pace as our technology.
This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our Berlin office 3 days per week.
Impact You'll Own:
- Lead the EMEA Creative Studio to translate high-level global marketing strategies into compelling visual narratives tailored for regional audiences and verticals.
- Collaborate closely with the EMEA Field Marketing Directors, Specialist teams, and Channel partners to support localized growth campaigns and co-marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and scale Planet's visual language, ensuring all regional assets align with our global brand standards.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and regional Sales teams to arm local reps with localized collateral, messaging, and account-based marketing (ABM) assets for key targets.
- Direct a network of external regional contractors and translation/localization agencies to extend the team's bandwidth and specialized capabilities.
- Refine and optimize creative workflows to improve speed-to-market for dynamic regional field demands without sacrificing design quality.
- Lead the conceptualization of high-profile regional visual projects-from digital campaigns to international trade show booths, hosted dinners, and executive briefings.
- Own the evolution and adaptation of Planet's Brand Guidelines for EMEA, translating global messaging for local market nuances and developing templates that empower regional field teams.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of external design partners, providing creative direction and QA to ensure delivery aligns with strategic regional objectives and budget.
- Act as a creative consultant to Regional Product Marketing, Communications, and Field teams, bridging the gap between technical specs and compelling customer experiences that drive pipeline.
- Optimize creative throughput by leveraging AI-driven design tools (Gemini, Figma) and project management platforms (Jira/Monday.com) to support high-volume regional field marketing requests.
- Present design solutions to senior regional leadership and executives that solve specific business problems, impact pipeline metrics, and align with Planet's overarching mission.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of relevant design experience, ideally embedded within or supporting a B2B field marketing or regional marketing organization.
- 4+ years of experience managing a creative team.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent project, time, and budget management skills, with the ability to handle multiple fast-moving field marketing requests simultaneously without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Excellent presentation skills and experience collaborating with regional stakeholders and executives to drive strategic outcomes.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a high-growth, commercial company.
- Experience working with enterprise software and AI-driven design platforms.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- A BFA or degree from a traditional 4-year design program.
- Experience with web design workflows, digital ad execution, and localization best practices.
- A solid understanding of pipeline contribution (sourced and influenced metrics) and how creative assets drive local lead generation.
