Floor Manager

We're looking for a Floor Manager who will play a pivotal role in the future of our company. Our Floor Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, optimizing production flow, and ensuring operational excellence across the production floor. You'll collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams while ensuring that manufacturing targets, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently achieved. This role is ideal for someone with a strong ownership mentality who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and enjoys scaling efficient, process-driven production operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Operate in a highly hands-on manufacturing environment with evolving production priorities and operational demands
  • Oversee daily production targets and ensure manufacturing throughput, efficiency, and delivery timelines are consistently achieved
  • Optimize assembly line layouts, workflows, and floor organization to improve scalability, productivity, and operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing bottlenecks, minimizing downtime, and increasing manufacturing output
  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, maintaining a safe and efficient production environment
  • Monitor and improve production KPIs including throughput, cycle time, quality performance, and resource utilization
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across production, material flow, staffing, and equipment utilization
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, quality control, supply chain, and operations teams to support smooth production execution
  • Support process standardization and documentation to enable scalable and repeatable manufacturing operations
  • Lead and mentor floor personnel, fostering accountability, operational discipline, and high-performance team culture
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational performance and reduce waste
  • Coordinate with external suppliers, contractors, and equipment vendors to support production continuity and operational readiness
  • Ensure production areas maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational discipline
  • Take ownership of floor performance by proactively identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and driving measurable operational improvements

Qualifications and Skills

  • B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production operations management
  • Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven experience managing production floors in fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of production planning, assembly line optimization, and manufacturing process scalability
  • Experience with electronic assembly manufacturing processes preferred
  • Industry experience within defense, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) compliance and manufacturing safety standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a process-oriented mindset
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive accountability and operational excellence
  • Ability to identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable process improvements
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently in high-growth, fast-paced operational environments
  • Ownership mindset with a strong focus on scalability, efficiency, and continuous operational improvement
  • EU Citizenship required
