As part of our overall growth strategy and following the success of our Maritime business unit, we are now looking for a maritime sales professional to join our existing team in our Hamburg office.

About the Job
As a Key Account Director within our maritime business unit, you'll be focused on building your career within maritime sales, driven by targets and a highly competitive commission structure while making a lasting impression on a vast client base.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new maritime clients and expand the existing client base, targeting prospective clients with a minimum turnover of 50M +
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with maritime clients and the overall shipping ecosystem (owner/operators, managers, charterers, brokers), to understand their challenges, objectives, risk appetite and international payment requirements.
  • Research, identify and prospect different maritime clients that have the need for our cash management, treasury and trade finance solutions.
  • Establish rapport and build credibility with clients through networking opportunities and effectively presenting solutions that encompass the client's entire international payment needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as onboarding, client services and operations to ensure seamless execution and delivery of services to clients
  • Leverage the worldwide footprint of Ebury to service our clients in a truly global way

You...

  • Have a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas within the maritime industry, or within cross-border financial services (ideally selling to global maritime clients).
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, numerical & verbal reasoning skills.
  • Are able to develop sales strategies, techniques and tactics based on customer feedback and market environment; presenting key selling points, features and benefits.
  • Are a skilled negotiator and communicator, able to build and leverage relationships at senior levels, including C-suite, within international companies.
  • Are relationship focused, nurturing long-term commercial relationships resulting in repeat business and network referrals.
  • Have a good understanding of the needs and goals that a business has from a cash management, treasury & budgeting perspective.
  • Speak fluent German & English
