ABOUT GENERATORHAMBURG

Generator Hamburg is located in the heart of the city,opposite Hauptbahnhof station. John, Paul, George and Ringo once recorded herebefore they hit the big time. Now it's a hostel, a bar, a morning café, an arthouse and a favourite neighbourhood hangout. With work by local artist TillKeifer and design touches such as exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceilingwindows, you'll feel right at home in this smart and cosy hostel.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Oversees the daily operationsof the Housekeeping department, including bedrooms and public areas, ensuring theyare maintained and consistent with company standards
• Respond to all guest requestsand guest opportunities in a timely and efficient manner to ensure guestsatisfaction
• Be commercially aware,understanding the importance of working within costs & departmental budgets
• Dealing withsuppliers of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies
• Oversees therepair and service requests for maintenance issues; ensures all service work iscompleted in a timely manner
• Takeaccountability for managing laundry and labour controls
• Have an eyefor detail and ensure brand standards are adhered to
• Manage, trainand inspire the team, driving performance through hands on leadership
• Facilitate theflow of information throughout the department, by organising regular handoversand team meetings
• Demonstrateknowledge of health and safety compliance inclusive of COSHH. Manage all auditprocesses to a high standard, ensuring 100% Health and Safety compliancethroughout the hotel

WHAT'SIN YOUR DNA

• Must be highly customer focused with excellent communication skills
• Must be highly organised and well versed in completing paperwork
• Will be an excellent team player whilst having first class attention todetail
• Possess the ability to keep staff motivated during long and demandingshift
• Flexible approach towards working hours
• To be considered for this position you must have the right to work inthe EU and speak English and German

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

• 3 years' experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry
• Working knowledge in all aspects of Housekeeping Department
• Experience with PMS hotel systems
