Due to an employee's replacement, we are looking for our European Headquarters in Duisburg for a

Service engineer or technician (m/f/d) for HPLC in full time (37,5 hours/week)

Your mission at Shimadzu:

  • You will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to Shimadzu's service engineers regarding LC products, via phone, email, or remote support
  • Your responsibilities also include training our field service engineers usually at the training center in Duisburg and creation of digital training content for our internal e-learning platform
  • Your remit will also include installation, maintenance, repair and instruction of equipment at our company and in the European countries where we operate
  • You will act as a contact with Shimadzu Corporation, headquartered in Japan, ensuring smooth communication and reporting for the products you support

This is you:

  • You hold a master's or bachelor's degree in electronics, chemistry, physics, or a related field, or possess equivalent qualifications
  • You have already gained professional experience in technical service or chemical analysis in the field of Liquid Chromatography
  • You have a very good command of written and spoken English and a good knowledge of German or the willingness to learn the German language
  • You are proficient in the use of Windows OS and MS Office applications
  • You are capable of working independently and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You possess strong communication skills, professional demeanor and self-confidence
  • You are highly flexible and willing to travel
  • You have a class B driver's license
