About us:
The School VI of Medicine and Health Sciences comprises the fields of human medicine, medical physics and acoustics, neurosciences, psychology and health services research. Together with the four regional hospitals, School VI forms the University Medicine Oldenburg. Furthermore, the university cooperates closely with the University Medicine of the University of Groningen.

We are offering an exciting project in the field of translational, regenerative medicine and tissue engineering. This DFG-funded research project aims to investigate a new matrix for the reconstruction of the ocular surface. The aim of this project is to produce a patient-specific, transparent and GMP-compliant tissue substitute for the regeneration of the ocular surface. The matrices based on human corneal cells, which have already been successfully established and tested in vitro, will be investigated in this project for their biocompatibility in a mouse model. A key component of the project is therefore the use of an animal model; in addition, cell culture-based methods, histological and immunohistological techniques, and detection methods at the RNA (qRT-PCR) and protein levels (Western blot, FACS) are employed.
Your tasks:
  • Planning and conducting animal experiments
  • Planning and conducting various laboratory experiments, with a focus on cell culture,
  • molecular biology studies, immunohistochemical staining and tissue engineering experiments.
  • Publishing and presenting project results at national and international level
  • Attending project meetings and scientific events
Your profile:
