Senior Oracle EBS Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Oracle EBS Engineer based in Germany.
This role is centered on enabling high-quality enterprise financial reporting and analytics within a complex Oracle EBS environment. You will work at the intersection of finance systems, data engineering, and business intelligence, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting across critical financial processes. The position involves hands-on development and optimization of BI solutions, with a strong focus on Splash BI and Oracle EBS Finance modules. You will collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable technical solutions. This is a highly impactful role where data accuracy, performance, and reliability directly support enterprise financial decision-making. You will also play a key role in improving reporting architecture and supporting mission-critical production systems.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing enterprise financial reporting and BI solutions within an Oracle EBS environment:
- Maintain and enhance Splash BI reporting and analytics solutions to ensure accurate and reliable financial insights.
- Work extensively with Oracle EBS Finance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, financial reports, and data integration processes.
- Investigate and resolve reporting issues, data discrepancies, and production support incidents in a timely manner.
- Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance on BI architecture and reporting best practices.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational support materials.
Requirements:
We are looking for a seasoned engineer with strong expertise in Oracle financial systems and enterprise reporting:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or BI-focused roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Splash BI in enterprise environments.
- 3+ years of experience working with Oracle EBS Finance modules.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and financial data integration.
- Experience supporting finance stakeholders and working within enterprise reporting environments.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience with financial controls, audit processes, and reconciliations is highly desirable.
- Prior technical leadership or lead engineer experience is a plus.
