We are offering an Internship - Automated Testing & Surgical Navigation Software (f/m/d) in our Technology Exploration team at B. Braun New Ventures in Freiburg for at least 5 months.

Duties and responsibilities:
• You will support the development of an automated testing framework for surgical navigation software
• You will conduct accuracy tests using novel tracking technologies and robotic systems for surgical navigation
• You will design and execute parameter studies to evaluate the impact of system configurations
• You will develop and maintain test scripts and tools using Python or C++
• You will work on the synchronization of multiple systems, ensuring reliable data flow and timing
• You will analyse test results and contribute to improving system robustness and accuracy
• You are willing to collaborate with software engineers, robotics experts, and clinical stakeholders in an agile Scrum environment

Professional competencies:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
• Programming skills in Python or C++
• Experience with software or system testing, ideally in automation or validation environments
• Experience with ROS2 is a plus
• Practical experience with robotic systems and system integration is a strong advantage
• Strong skills in data analysis, including statistical evaluation and visualization

Personal competencies:
• Interest in medical technology, testing automation, and system accuracy
• Structured and detail-oriented working style with a high level of conscientiousness
• Ability to quickly and independently get up to speed in new topics
• Good communication skills in English; German is a plus
• Motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a high-tech, interdisciplinary environment
