Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Mechanical Designer to work on system architectures, product design, and roadmaps. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system architecture, system design, complex mechatronics, possess good communication skills, and lead system and subsystem architecture definition. This candidate must have the ability to work well both independently and in a team setting. This candidate must be able to drive progress from full ambiguity to product design and release to production.

Owning the delivery of robotic products on time, in budget and at the targeted performance
Scoping, managing, and delivering multiple technical projects in parallel from concept to production
Work with an interdisciplinary team to improve and maintain existing product designs including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing
Work with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth production transition of design changes
Write requirements and functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
Exhibit role model behaviors of thorough engineering analysis
