Finance Business Partner (m/w/d)

Job Description:

The position provides critical financial business partnering and data-driven decision support ensuring strict financial compliance, with a clear separation between two areas of financial responsibilities.

What would be your key responsibilities?

Consumer Promotion Business Partnering:

• Finance business partner for the Activation team (MS&D) - as such supporting budget tracking, periodical review of actual spend and accruals as well as achieving targets set within operational plan
• Ensure adherence to all corporate policies and guidelines pertaining to internal control with respect to the Consumer Promotion budget.
• Support evaluation of portfolio related projects and Consumer Promotion plans by providing financial guidance, establishing promo policies and reviewing assumptions.
• Partner with the local and regional Marketing organization to optimize budgeting tools, processes and ways of working.
• Support in ad-hoc activities and customer individual offers via financial evaluation and recommendations.

EPR Fee Management:

• Responsible Market/Cluster SPOC for EPR Fees, coordinating compliance with local business unit teams and regional sustainability team.
• Engage with others functions and segments to prepare accurate reporting and data analysis, implementing data validation process.
• Coordinating all related activities to ensure timely and accurate submission of reports.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes through third-party and translate regulatory guidelines into actionable data review checklists to be implemented with the local data teams.
• Collaborate with controllership to perform relevant controls in the data collection and reporting processes.
• Provide signoff of MAPS validation on a regular basis.
• Prepare and facilitate yearly external as well as internal audits.
• Ensure proper adherence to RACI with CFO support within market.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, finance, due diligence and compliance management.
• Strong analytical skills and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power-BI, etc.).
• Experience in analyzing legal requirements, disclosure guidelines and corporate governance requirements for business implementations.
• Knowledge in KPI, performance tracking and reporting.
• Cost Accounting and Budget Management - understanding of Mars, Incorporated internal cost structures and practices (Finance Manual).
• Familiarity with sustainability regulations or expertise in implementing external standards and guidelines.
• Knowledge of Mars business systems and data warehouses (SAP, etc.).
• Experience and comfort working in a matrixed organization, ideally in a large multi-national setting, managing conflicts across diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in establishing and managing data governance frameworks, data quality and controls.
