Summary

Viking Technical GmbH is delivering high-quality technical support services and spare parts within a dynamic and growing operational environment. As part of our strategic expansion, the Technical Operations River (TOR) team established a new warehouse facility in Cologne.

We are looking for someone who combines solid warehouse experience with a practical, hands-on approach and enjoys working in a dynamic environment. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end setup and optimization of the new warehouse. This role requires a leader with proven expertise in warehouse operations, team development, and process excellence. The Warehouse Manager will report to the Senior Manager Logistics and play a critical role in establishing robust structures, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the setup and day-to-day management of the new warehouse
  • Implement clear and efficient processes for inbound, storage, and outbound activities
  • Build, lead, and develop a motivated warehouse team
  • Stabilize operations and drive continuous improvements over time
  • Monitor performance and ensure targets are met
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners
Qualifications and Experience
  • Several years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations
  • Experience in setting up or developing warehouse structures is a strong plus
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams
  • A hands-on mindset and willingness to get involved when needed
  • Strong focus on processes, structure, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Good communication skills in German, English is a plus
