TYTAN Technologies

At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty.

We are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference! As a Perception Engineer - Computer Vision, you will design, implement, and deploy end-to-end computer vision pipelines for UAV perception, from data collection to real-time inference on embedded platforms. This includes working with multi-modal sensors, camera hardware, calibration workflows, and integrating perception systems tightly with UAV hardware and autonomy stacks. You will test in real environments, iterate using real-world data, and collaborate closely with mission partners and engineering teams.

Your roadmap to make an impact

  • Build and optimize computer vision pipelines for real-time onboard UAV processing.
  • Configure, calibrate, and integrate imaging sensors (RGB, thermal, stereo, depth, IR).
  • Develop, train, and evaluate deep learning models for detection, tracking, and classification.
  • Deploy models on edge devices; TensorRT and NVIDIA Jetson experience is a strong plus.
  • Apply classical CV concepts to complement DL solutions.
  • Work with real-world data collection, annotation, and performance benchmarking.
  • Integrate perception modules with ROS-based systems and UAV hardware.
  • Collaborate with hardware, autonomy, and mission teams for field deployment.

  • Degree in Computer Vision, Robotics, ML, EE, or related field with 2+ years experience.
  • Excellent Python, ROS and C++ skills.
  • Strong experience with sensor fusion (eg. Kalman Filters).
  • Strong experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow or similar deep learning frameworks.
  • Strong ROS and OpenCV knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with model deployment; TensorRT/Jetson is a plus.
  • Strong grounding in computer vision theory.
  • GStreamer and camera streaming experience is a plus.
  • Strong software engineering and Linux knowledge - Git, Docker, CI/CD.
  • Willingness to travel for field tests and deployments.
  • Proficiency in English; German knowledge is a plus.
