At Dcubed, we develop and manufacture the deployable space hardware, release mechanisms, and solar arrays that power the world's most ambitious space missions. From small satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to deep-space exploration heading to the Moon and Mars, our patented shape-memory actuators and origami-inspired structures are redefining space hardware reliability.

Our commercial strategy relies on a high-touch, relationship-driven "land and expand" model. We work closely with space agencies, commercial NewSpace disruptors, and traditional aerospace and defense Primes-frequently starting with custom engineering components for a single pilot mission and scaling into outfitting entire multi-million-euro satellite constellations.

Role Overview

We are looking for a full-stack Marketing Lead to build and own our marketing function from the ground up. This is a senior role designed for a player-coach who thrives on balancing high-level commercial strategy with heavy, daily tactical execution. You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and act as the core bridge connecting our engineering reality with market perception. You will start hands-on from the most business-critical areas of GTM, market intelligence and pipelining. You will also be responsible for product marketing, technical copywriting and proposal support, as well as global brand and events.

What You'll Own & Build

  • Strategic GTM & Positioning: Define and refine our value proposition for distinct market segments, explicitly navigating the fast-paced buying cycles of NewSpace startups versus the rigorous procurement and compliance hurdles of legacy aerospace Primes.


  • Product Marketing & Technical Copywriting: Partner closely with our engineering teams to master our hardware specifications. You will personally author our technical data sheets, white papers, use-case explainers, and web content, ensuring complex engineering is communicated accurately without losing technical truth.


  • Sales Enablement & Proposal Support: Directly arm our international sales team. You will independently design, write, and update pitch decks, customer case stories, and product one-pagers. Crucially, you will support our capture team by crafting the narrative sections of major RFIs/RFPs to help win competitive contracts.


  • Customer Intimacy & Market Intelligence: You will not market from an ivory tower. You will routinely join sales calls, interview customers, and build genuine relationships with design engineers and procurement officers to act as the internal "Voice of the Customer."


  • Demand Generation & Operations: Own the marketing pipeline end-to-end using HubSpot. Build and execute targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) playbooks focused on key decision-makers at specific target organizations.


  • Global Brand & Events: Plan, coordinate, and execute our physical presence at major space and defense conferences across the US and Europe to turn our booth into a hub of lead generation.

Here Is What You Bring to the Table

  • Deep-Tech/Industrial Product Marketing Track Record: Proven experience owning the commercial positioning for a complex, physical engineering product line. You must possess an innate curiosity to understand not just what we build, but how it works and how it fails. (Pure consumer, lifestyle, or gaming backgrounds do not fit our buyer persona).


  • Verified Solo Creator Status: A portfolio demonstrating that you are an independent creator who writes your own content and builds your own commercial assets.


  • Long-Cycle Commercial Discipline: Solid experience navigating multi-stakeholder B2B sales cycles with small, high-value target audiences (1,000-5,000 global buyers), rather than high-volume, low-friction digital acquisition funnels.


  • Startup Longevity & Grit: Evidence of sustained operational tenure at an early-stage technology firm, proving you can navigate the messy scale-and-maintenance phase of a growing business.


  • Native-Level English Fluency: Absolute command of the English language to author technical materials and communicate professionally across European and US markets.


  • Global Collaborator: Highly dependable, organized, and comfortable working across different time zones to unite engineering teams in Germany and sales teams in the US.


  • Work Authorization: Valid work and residence permit for either Germany or the United States (depending on your target location).

What This Role Is NOT

  • This is not an agency management position. There is no large internal team or outsourced creative agency budget to manage; you will be producing the collateral yourself.


  • This is not an inward-facing MarTech plumbing role. While you will own our HubSpot setup, this role is highly visible, market-facing, and centered on commercial storytelling.


  • This is not a fractional or consulting gig. We are looking for an operationally permanent builder committed to scaling with Dcubed for the long haul.
