Quality Engineer - Machine Learning

Apple's Creative Music Apps team in Rellingen (Germany) is seeking a talented software quality assurance engineer for our DSP & Machine Learning QA team.\\n\\n

You will evaluate existing and new products on macOS, iOS & iPadOS, create comprehensive test plans, and work closely with our engineering team to ensure that Apple's products maintain a high level of quality and excellent performance. You should be passionate about music creation and audio recording and should display a relentless and methodical dedication to software quality. The ideal candidate will be a top-notch communicator and team player.\n\nThis role involves a continuous commitment to quality assurance, encompassing the maintenance and expansion of our essential test tools. Thorough testing of new features alongside comprehensive regression testing to safeguard existing functionality in our ML-based technologies.\n\n\n

Knowledge and experience with the quality assurance process.\nSolid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals.\nExperience with audio recording and handling of Digital Audio Workstations.\nAttention to detail and an unwillingness to settle for a product that is just "good enough".

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.\nPassionate about building customer-facing features and testing ML tools and infrastructure.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent scripting skills and experience in troubleshooting complex structures.\nExperience in developing test strategies and executing them with test automation.\nExperience with audio analysis tools and libraries.\nUnderstanding of core ML concepts.\nKnowledge of music theory and recording technology.
