Teamlead - Ocean Freight Export (m/f/d) for our Dusseldorf office: Your tasks: Operational Leadership Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the Ocean Freight Export team Monitor workloads, assign tasks, and ensure timely execution of all operational processes and deadlines Ensure full compliance with operational regulations, documentation standards, and company policies Support operational budgeting and contribute to financial planning and cost control initiatives Customer & Stakeholder Management Maintain and develop strong relationships with key customers to ensure high service quality and satisfaction Act as the main operational contact for internal departments, suppliers, and external service providers Support the development and growth of existing and new customer accounts in line with company strategy Process & Performance Improvement Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure service levels meet or exceed customer expectations Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency improvements Leverage IT systems and cost-saving initiatives to streamline operational workflows Team Development Provide coaching, guidance, and regular performance feedback to team members Conduct training and support continuous skill development within the team Foster a collaborative, high-performing, and motivated team environmentYour profile: 5-10 years of experience in ocean freight operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or equivalent commercial training (e.g. freight forwarding and logistics services coordinator) Proven experience in handling ocean freight export shipments and operational processes Strong understanding of international shipping operations, documentation, and logistics workflows Excellent written and spoken German and English skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) High adaptability to changing processes, policies, and operational requirements Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities There are many good reasons to join us: An open working atmosphere in an international team, lots of creative freedom, flexible working hours, attractive and performance-related remuneration, social benefits: e.g. Job Ticket, kindergarten allowance.
