Brief Role Description
As a working student (m/f/d) at our Bochum location, you will support system verification in the software domain with a variety of tasks in the development and integration environment. The focus lies on vehicle-related test environments and the validation of electronic control unit (ECU) within the vehicle system. You will work closely with experienced test engineers and gain insights into system testing of modern vehicle software. Structured onboarding and supervision are, of course, provided.
The hourly wage of a working student is €17.50.

As a working student (m/f/d) at our Bochum location, you will support system verification in the software domain with a variety of tasks in the development and integration environment. You will work closely with experienced test engineers and gain insights into system testing of modern vehicle software. Structured onboarding and supervision are, of course, provided.

Possible Tasks within this Role
- Setup and maintenance of vehicle-related test environments
- Logistical management of prototypes and control units
- Support in performing manual and partially automated testing activities
- Assistance in automating selected test steps
- Reading and archiving log files as well as performing preliminary analysis under guidance
Qualification requirements
- Ongoing technical degree, e.g., in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
- Initial practical experience with the Python programming language
- Interest in software development and modern development tools, e.g., Docker, REST APIs, and Git
- Knowledge of embedded systems, e.g., from studies or personal projects (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, home automation)
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows and Linux
- Structured working style, curiosity, and openness to new topics
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Availability of 16-20 hours per week during the lecture period for at least 12 months
- Class B driver's license (required for occasional assignments)
