About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Auto Hobby Complex in Ramstein, AB, Germany.
This position is responsible for the oversight of all functions within the Auto Hobby Complex to include Auto Annex, Auto Recycling and the Auto Hobby Shop and reports directly to the to the Arts and Crafts Operations Manager and is responsible for the management, administration, technical and operations of the program.

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is U.S. Citizens and legal U.S. residents in Germany. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between Germany and the U.S., you must be a U.S. citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a U.S. permanent resident card in order to be eligible for NAF employment. Citizens of Germany (including dual citizenship if Germany is one of the countries) as well as "ordinarily resident" US citizens are not eligible for NAF employment per SOFA agreement. If not already in the commuting area, must be able to verify the ability to arrive before a firm job offer can be sent.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have at least 3 years of progressively responsible work experience which has demonstrated the ability to manage a business activity, which include planning activities, managing a budget, sale and inventory of equipment and supplies, marketing of events, and providing patron services. Must have work experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise and train subordinate staff to be able to support activities and programs. Must have working knowledge and skill of automotive maintenance and repair. Must have skills in the use of various types of automotive equipment repair tools and special diagnostic equipment; knowledge of theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines; ability to diagnose mechanical malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs to be performed. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing to internal and external customers.
Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
