As a Compliance Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence across customer onboarding, screening, and transaction monitoring activities. Working within a fast-growing and innovative environment, you will help design and optimize processes that support scalable growth while maintaining strong compliance standards. Accountabilities:

  • Manage customer onboarding and screening processes, conducting due diligence reviews on businesses and individuals across multiple regulated entities.
  • Oversee and enhance transaction monitoring activities to support growing payment flows and evolving customer journeys while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve standard operating procedures related to KYC, screening, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with risk and compliance stakeholders on investigations, escalations, suspicious activity reviews, and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits by preparing documentation, explaining processes, and ensuring readiness for assessments.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and automate operational workflows, partnering with product and engineering teams to implement scalable solutions.
  • Analyze operational data to improve decision-making, strengthen controls, and enhance overall compliance effectiveness.
  • Contribute to building a robust first-line compliance function that balances regulatory obligations with operational efficiency and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in KYC, onboarding, compliance operations, or related functions within fintech, insurtech, financial services, or regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of customer due diligence, screening processes, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify, assess, and escalate potential compliance risks and red flags.
  • Experience building, improving, and documenting operational processes in fast-paced and evolving organizations.
  • Strong analytical and data-handling skills, with the ability to derive insights from large datasets and support informed decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in high-growth environments where priorities, processes, and responsibilities may evolve rapidly.
  • Self-starter mentality with strong ownership, accountability, and a bias toward execution and continuous improvement.
