What would be your key responsibilities

• Conducting analyses of volatile compounds in beverage, confectionery, and culinary samples, as well as special projects in the Analytical Flavor Insight department
• Sample preparation, analysis, and data interpretation (GC-FID-MS, GCO, NMR)
• Developing methods for qualitative and quantitative GC-MS and NMR analyses
• Independently performing maintenance & hardware troubleshooting on instruments
• Working closely with the Flavor Creation, as well as other Analytical and R&D teams within the ADM global network

What will make you successful

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree or a PhD in food chemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field, and you already have professional experience
• Practical experience in GC, GC-MS, and NMR analysis and the characterization of volatile substances. Experience in flavor or fragrance analysis would be a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experienced with instrument software for analytical systems and MS data analysis software
• You are detail oriented in your way of working and enjoy taking the initiative
• As a team player with strong communication skills, you enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration
• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
• Valid work permit for Germany
