Implementation Lead - Digital Product Passport (all genders)
Your Role
Digital Product Passports are rapidly becoming a cornerstone of sustainability, regulatory compliance, and customer trust across the life science industry. As Implementation Lead - Digital Product Passport, you design, drive, and continuously improve the technical implementation of Digital Product Passports at scale. You translate regulatory requirements into precise technical specifications, align system integrations across a complex platform landscape, and ensure that Digital Product Passports become a reliable, scalable, and operationally embedded capability.
Working as part of a global team in Life Science Hazard Communication and Chemical Regulations, you operate at the intersection of technical implementation, system integration, and cross-functional collaboration - partnering with regulatory experts, business stakeholders, and IT teams. You take full ownership of the technical foundation and operating model for Digital Product Passports: from defining data models, identifiers, metadata, and interfaces, to coordinating API-based and machine-readable solutions aligned with regulatory and industry standards. You ensure data quality, traceability, security, and auditability are built in from the start, and you embed Digital Product Passports into existing processes and tool landscapes rather than creating isolated solutions. You are equally comfortable writing code and building solutions as you are guiding cross-functional alignment and enabling internal adoption.
Who You Are
- You hold a Master's or doctoral degree in engineering, natural sciences, computer science, data science, or a comparable field with a strong digital focus.
- You bring proven hands-on experience in programming (e.g., Python) and have successfully implemented data-driven or platform-based solutions in complex, business-critical environments.
- You have a strong command of data structures and data models, system integration and APIs, platform interoperability, and scalable architectures.
- You are experienced working in regulated environments with high requirements on quality, traceability, and compliance.
- You are comfortable working close to technical solutions while coordinating effectively with non-technical stakeholders across functions.
- You communicate fluently in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
- Experience in sustainability, product stewardship, regulatory data management, or Digital Product Passport-related activities is a plus.
