Responsibilities

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist EMEA to support our team in payroll-related tasks and projects across several countries in the EMEA region. This role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in an international environment, driving process improvements, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders. You will work closely with internal and external partners, including payroll providers, HR and Finance teams, as well as authorities and auditors, to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations across various countries such as France, Austria, the UK, Ireland, and Armenia.
  • Coordinate and oversee end-to-end monthly payroll operations across various EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local statutory, tax, and social security requirements

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external payroll providers, ensuring smooth collaboration and high-quality payroll delivery across multiple countries


  • Provide guidance on payroll-related topics and help ensure compliance with country-specific regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements


  • Investigate and resolve payroll inquiries and exceptions, escalating complex issues where required and driving sustainable solutions


  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and continuously look for ways to increase efficiency, accuracy, and service quality, while maintaining a strong focus on payroll documentation and audit readiness


  • Review payroll workflows and systems and recommend, as well as support, the implementation of process improvements and scalable solutions


  • Support and contribute to payroll-related projects, including transitions, implementations, systems enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives


  • Work closely with the wider HR, Finance, and People Operations teams to support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the development of global payroll processes


Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or a related field, or alternatively completed vocational training in a relevant area, ideally supplemented by payroll or HR-related further education

  • 3+ years of solid experience in payroll operations, ideally with exposure to multi-country payroll within the EMEA region


  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems and strong Excel skills; ADP knowledge is an advantage


  • Good understanding of payroll processes as well as statutory, tax, and social security requirements across different country setups


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple payrolls and deadlines


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills


  • Resilience and flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing payroll requirements across different countries within the EMEA region


  • Fluency in English is required; German and additional European language skills are a plus
