to be filled. Starting date is as soon as possible. The position is limited to a period of 3 years.

This position in the Computer Security and Privacy group led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Delphine Reinhardt offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to pursue a doctoral degree in an interdisciplinary research environment.

Your profile
  • A very good M.Sc. degree in computer science,
  • Solid background in one or more of the following areas: privacy and security, multi-agent coordination, machine learning, LLMs/VLMs, distributed systems, human-AI collaboration, and interactive system design,
  • Strong programming skills, ideally with experience in multi-agent frameworks, distributed systems, or AI simulation platforms,
  • Experience in designing and conducting simulations and experiments, ideally including empirical evaluation of agent behaviors and system performance,
  • Ability to conduct independent scientific research, along with strong commitment, team orientation, and communication skills,
  • A very good command of both English and German, both written and spoken,
  • Strong interest in pursuing a doctoral degree and contributing to high-impact research.

Your main responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research on privacy in multi-agent systems, focusing, for example, on identifying emerging privacy threats, designing novel privacy-preserving mechanisms for agent communication and collaboration, and developing human-centered approaches to ensure trustworthy multi-agent interactions,
  • Publishing and presenting the obtained scientific results in international peer-reviewed conferences and/or journals,
  • Supervising student projects in this area.
