Starting October 15, 2026, the Technical University of Munich at the Heilbronn campus is looking for two motivated student assistants (m/f/d) who are excited to help establish a new Green Office and actively drive sustainability projects on campus.

About the TUM Green Offices

With its TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy , the Technical University of Munich pursues a holistic approach to sustainable action. A key component of this strategy is the implementation of concrete projects across TUM's different campuses. The TUM Green Offices are student-led initiatives that actively contribute to the sustainable transformation of the university. After the successful establishment of Green Offices in Straubing, Weihenstephan, Garching, and Munich, a Green Office is also set to be launched at the Heilbronn in the winter semester 2026/27.

What to expect

You will have the opportunity to build the Green Office in Heilbronn from the very beginning and actively shape its success. You will contribute your own ideas, develop new formats to make sustainability visible and tangible on campus. This role goes beyond organization - it is also about inspiring students to adopt sustainable practices and building a strong community around sustainability.

Now it is up to you to become part of the Green Office and support us in driving the sustainable transformation of our university.

  • Contribute actively to TUM Campus Heilbronn's participation in the 'European Green Capital' title year and support its conceptual development in collaboration with our professors.
  • Build networks with student sustainability initiatives and maintain ongoing exchange with other Green Offices (Weihenstephan, Garching, Straubing) as well as the Sustainability Office
  • Collaborate across disciplines with academic and administrative staff as well as with professors. In addition, you maintain close exchange with the TUM Sustainability Office in Munich, School Offices, Student Services, and particularly the Managing Office of the TUM Campus Heilbronn.
  • Support social media activities, especially on Instagram

Your profile
  • You are motivated to actively drive sustainability initiatives at the Heilbronn campus, and you are passionate about sustainability projects and their implementation.
  • You are creative and have a strong sense of how to build an engaged community and turn the Green Office into a space for exchange, collaboration, and co-creation.
  • Strong organizational skills and know how to design, plan, and execute events.
  • As a team player, you demonstrate initiative and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You are confident in communicating in both German and English, written and spoken. Good German skills are an advantage but not required.
  • Initial experience in project and event management as well as with social media.
  • You will be enrolled at TUM for the next two semesters - ideally longer - with your main place of study at the Heilbronn campus.

Your benefits
  • A high degree of creative freedom to implement your own idea
  • Expand your networking opportunities across TUM campuse
  • Flexible working hours with a workload of 8 hours per week
  • The position is offered with a fixed-term contract of 12 months; start date: October 15, 2026
