The TUM Green Offices at the Garching, Munich, and Weihenstephan campuses are looking for several student assistants (m/f/d) starting October 1, 2026, to support the implementation of various sustainability projects on the respective campuses.
About the TUM Green Offices
The TUM Green Offices are student-led offices supported by the central TUM Sustainability Office and play an important role in the sustainable transformation of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
Through the TUM Sustainable Futures Strategy , TUM pursues a holistic approach to sustainability and implements concrete projects with a strong focus on sustainable campus development. Since 2018, Green Offices have been established in Straubing, Weihenstephan, Garching, and Munich; a fifth Green Office will open in Heilbronn in October 2026.
The Mission of the Green Offices
The goal of the TUM Green Offices is to raise awareness of sustainability among students and staff and empower them to become active agents of sustainable change within the university.
To achieve this, a wide range of projects is initiated and implemented, including, for example, a nature trail, bicycle repair workshops, upcycling workshops, and talks by speakers from the sustainability sector. Other formats include clothing, book, and plant swap events, as well as the Sustainable Dinner. We are looking for motivated students who want to actively contribute to TUM's sustainable transformation.

Your Responsibilities
- Together with the team, you will help further develop the Green Office at your campus and implement sustainability projects.
- Tasks within the team are distributed largely according to individual interests, skills, and strengths.
- You will work closely with academic and administrative staff at the campus, the TUM Sustainability Office, and the other TUM Green Offices.
- You will connect the Green Office with student initiatives in the field of sustainability and maintain exchange for planning and implementing joint activities.
- You will develop new project ideas and initiate projects, including collaborative initiatives with the other TUM Green Offices.
- Together with the team, you will manage the Green Office's social media channels (especially Instagram).
Your Profile
- You are passionate about advancing sustainability on your campus and engage with the topic beyond your studies.
- You work in a structured, independent, and reliable manner.
- You show initiative, take responsibility, and complete tasks conscientiously.
- You enjoy teamwork and communicate confidently with different stakeholder groups.
- You bring creativity and ideas on how to develop the Green Office into a vibrant space for exchange and collaboration around sustainability.
- You are enrolled at TUM for at least the next two semesters, ideally longer.
- You have strong written and spoken communication skills in both German and English. German skills are an advantage but not required for applying.
- Initial experience in project or event management, as well as social media, is an advantage.
