Senior Life Cycle Assessment Expert (all genders)
Your role As a Senior Life Cycle Assessment Expert, you will join a global network within the Hazard Communication and Chemicals Regulations department. You will quantify environmental impacts across our Life Science portfolio, which comprises over 100,000 unique neat chemicals and hundreds of thousands of mixtures. Your expertise will support the Safe and Sustainable by Design framework implementation across a diverse product portfolio. You will contribute to self-serve and at-scale LCA solutions currently under development. Collaboration will be essential as you work with Product Management, Production Sites, IT, and external partners to drive successful outcomes. You will translate complex LCA results into clear, actionable messages for internal stakeholders. You will lead multiple projects concurrently and manage data analyses with rigor and attention to detail. You will communicate findings through presentations and reports, tailoring content to different audiences. You will help shape EU-aligned sustainability strategies and align LCA activities with ongoing regulatory initiatives. You will thrive in a dynamic, high-throughput environment and actively share knowledge with cross-functional teams. You will contribute to the development of scalable LCA processes that support informed decision making across the organization.
Who you are
- Master's degree in sustainability, chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Life Cycle Assessment
- Proven track record in LCA, with a focus on chemicals or biotechnological products
- Proficiency with LCA tools (openLCA, SimaPro, GaBi, Brightway) and databases (ecoinvent)
- Familiarity with ISO 14040/14044, TfS, PAS 2090, SSbD guidelines
- Strong data analysis capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; a strong team player
