Junior Tax Manager / Tax Specialist
The DNV Tax Department Central Europe is responsible for full tax compliance and operational tax support for German and Austrian DNV entities. This includes recurring tax compliance activities, support in tax audits, and the provision of timely tax input into business processes.
As part of a regional and global DNV tax network, the Junior Tax Manager / Tax Specialist supports the Tax team in ensuring that tax compliance obligations are fulfilled on time and that businessfacing tax processes operate smoothly. A key focus of the role lies in Project Tax Screening (PTS) and VATrelated support activities, as well as tax processes such as Event Taxation, working closely with Business Areas, Finance, HR Payroll and Group Tax.
The role is designed as an operational support and coordination function, forming an essential part of the Tax operating model and enabling senior tax roles to focus on complex advisory, audit and strategic matters.
What you will do:
- Assist in Project Tax Screening (PTS) by preparing tax screenings, gathering relevant facts, coordinating with Business Areas and documenting in Salesforce.
- Support with VAT tasks, including reconciliations of VAT returns and handling VAT related queries.
- Support Event Taxation by the tax review of event related expenses regarding tax aspects.
- Support recurring tax compliance activities (DAC6, withholding tax, certificates of residence).
- Prepare documentation and data for tax audits and internal compliance reviews.
- Maintain and update tax process documentation within the Tax Control Framework.

Support digital tools, process improvements and automation initiatives within the Tax function.
- Degree in Taxation, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax, finance or compliance (inhouse, advisory or shared services).
- Basic understanding of German tax principles; exposure to VAT tax is an advantage.
- Interest in business oriented tax processes, especially Project Tax Screening and indirect tax topics.
- Structured, reliable working style with strong attention to deadlines and documentation.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across functions.
- Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office; experience with digital workflows and systems is a plus.
- Team oriented mindset with willingness to learn and develop professionally within the Tax function.
