ABOUT GENERATORHAMBURG

Generator Hamburg is located in the heart of the city,opposite Hauptbahnhof station. John, Paul, George and Ringo once recorded herebefore they hit the big time. Now it's a hostel, a bar, a morning café, an arthouse and a favourite neighbourhood hangout. With work by local artist TillKeifer and design touches such as exposed brick walls and floor-to-ceilingwindows, you'll feel right at home in this smart and cosy hostel.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Ensure that oursocial spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
• Play a partin ensuring that there is a responsible person (duty manager) onsite at alltimes
• Have acomprehensive knowledge of and ensure compliance with all local legislation andregulations pertaining to your department
• Controlpayroll and all costs in your department
• Takeownership of the guest journey to ensure that we create a truly uniqueGenerator experience
• Strive tocontinuously "raise the bar" by improving standards of performance, redefiningthe hostel experience by achieving outstanding customer satisfaction
• Build andlead a FOH team who get Generator and want to be themselves
• Communicateeffectively and appropriately in all directions so that the team understandsits goals and is motivated to achieve them
• Ensure thatyour team remains up to date with all local, national and international trends
• Becommercially savvy in exploring new revenue streams

WHAT'SIN YOUR DNA

• Passionate forhospitality and the youth travel market
• Passionate fordelivering excellent customer service
• Fluent inEnglish and German and knowledge of a third language is desirable
• Strongleadership skills with ability to coach, mentor, train and develop crew members
• Hands-onexperience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights
• You must be eligible to work in the EUto be considered for this role

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management
• Minimum 3 years of hotel experience in a similar role, experiencehandling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks
• Minimum 3 years of customer service in a hotel setting
• Conversant in at least one Property Management System
