Public Sector procurement across Europe is undergoing significant digital transformation, and you will be at the forefront. We are looking for a Senior Account Executive in the German Amazon Business Government team, a self-starter who is prepared to own and execute the German Public Sector Greenfield strategy for Government entities and drive growth with our most valuable Government customers in line with Amazon Business strategic direction.
As part of our Amazon Business team, you own a portfolio of German Government customers ensuring effective executive engagement with the most complex public customers, and achieving scale through partners, marketing and public policy. You are responsible for identifying high-potential customers and making Amazon Business a key solution for their procurement needs. You are responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying and nurturing high-value opportunities and creating multi-year growth strategies that deliver measurable results. You are also helping to identify and win public tenders and frameworks and build partnerships with think tanks and decision makers. This role requires an individual with executive presence who can speak fluently about our business and investments across Germany and suitably represent our business with customer and partner executives. This leader will build strong C-level relationships, especially with procurement leaders.

We are looking for a strong personality with genuine relationship-building skills: strategic thinking, executive presence, ability to navigate complex organizations, project management capabilities, analytical mindset, and autonomy. The ideal candidate will have experience in public procurement working with Government Ministries/Authorities/Agencies/Entities and a track record of success, including implementing programmes that deliver incremental value and revenue to the business.
Key job responsibilities
Identify DE Public Sector customers' needs, with a focus on government entities (Federal, State, and local levels), develop partnerships & solutions exceeding their expectations
Own, support and influence the Greenfield strategy for DE Public Sector government organizations.
Own and grow a portfolio of Government customers including both strategic accounts and prospects
Identify and develop strategic opportunities within launched accounts, drive adoption and long-term growth through strong account management and cross-functional collaboration
Lead cross-functional projects with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Technical Solutions) to deliver customized solutions that drive customer adoption and spend growth.
Build long-term relationships with senior internal and external customer stakeholders including CPOs, VPs, Directors, etc.
