We are looking for full-time staff for the Institute of Virology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to start as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities
We are a dynamic team of scientists seeking technical support for our research activities. We are therefore looking for an MTA or BTA, or a laboratory technician with experience in research, particularly in handling infectious agents and/or genetically modified organisms. Experience working in higher biosafety levels is an advantage. Required qualifications include knowledge of molecular and cell biology, as well as experience working with laboratory animals.
The position is initially limited to two years, with the possibility of extension.
Your profile
• Qualification as an MTA, BTA, or equivalent
• Practical experience with automated and manual laboratory methods
• Ability to work independently and willingness to engage in demanding research projects
• Knowledge and experience in handling infectious agents, and infectious samples
• Experience working with laboratory animals and in biosafety laboratories (BSL-2/3)
• Strong communication skills in English, as our team is international
• Solid computer skills, including experience with IT-based applications
• High level of motivation and commitment
• A team-oriented mindset, with a sense of responsibility, reliability, and flexibility
