Job Description:
We have full responsibility for the provision of Operations Engineering Service teams for the Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-5P missions. We are seeking a young professional to join our current Sentinel-5P team, preferably with several years' experience with ESA Earth Observation missions, covering Payload, Platform and Ground Segment activities.
The selected team member will be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for satellite subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator.

Key Responsibilities
The general activities to be supported by this service are:
- Study of Project-specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation
- Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations
- Generation and validation of Flight Control Procedures
- Mission Management and Mission Planning Support Service
- Support for Ground Segment Systems development, evolution and testing (e.g. MCS, SIM and MPS)
- Participation in the team Training Program
- Routine Payload & Platform Operations
- Participation in all Mission Critical Operations
- General Flight Control Support Service
- Spacecraft Performance Analysis
- Participation in the on-call service
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Experience in activities applicable to Spacecraft Operations
- Experience with Spacecraft Subsystems Operations
- Programming knowledge (Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SIMULUS
- Experience of Industry Standards and Protocols (CCSDS and ECSS)
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with the ESOC environment and understanding of the FOS main components
- Familiarity with satellite mission control systems, in particular SCOS-2000
- Experience with LEO Spacecraft Operations
- Experience with DHS and/or TCS/EPS/RF Spacecraft Sub-System Operations
