Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As a Communications & Public Policy IGP, you will have the unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of communications, policy and business in a highly dynamic global environment. You will gather firsthand experience working on exciting projects in our different functions including Corporate Communications, Corporate Brand & Marketing Communications, Public Policy, Strategy, Channels & Services, and more. This can include e.g. shaping executive narratives on key geopolitical topics, supporting stakeholder engagement with policymakers, or contributing to global communication campaigns and positioning initiatives. You will quickly build a unique skill set at the intersection of communications, policy and business, preparing you for a wide range of career paths in communications and public affairs.

Your program consists of the following elements:

  • Spend 18 months across Communications & Public Policy with approximately four rotations
  • One international assignment (4-6 months), offering hands-on experience in a different market and direct exposure to global stakeholders, international policy environments and communication landscapes
  • Contribute to high-impact topics with visibility to senior leadership
  • Build a global network within Infineon
  • Transition to permanent role in the CP organization after completing the International Graduate Program

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

You are curious and interested in a broad range of topics. You don't expect things to be handed to you on a silver platter - you go search for them. You love change - which is guaranteed in the semiconductor industry. You are pragmatic and analytic, because we need both at Infineon. Standing still is not your thing. You find inspiration in teamwork, collaborating with your colleagues in the big picture. You can confidently lead and drive results in your field, leveraging your skills and expertise to achieve success.

  • Degree in Communications, Politics, Marketing, Social Studies, Business, or a related field
  • Practical experience in both corporate communications (e.g. internal communications, media relations or marketing communications) and public policy, government relations or political communications (e.g. gained in a consultancy, public institution, political organization or similar environment)
  • Strong conceptual thinking and a confident and persuasive presence
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas and topics into clear, compelling narratives
  • Combine analytical thinking with communication instinct
  • Have a strong interest in technology, economics, and global affairs
  • Are eager to take on responsibility early, demonstrating a strong drive to take ownership and make an impact in a complex, fast-moving environment
  • Fluency in English and German
