To expand our procurement team in Germany, we are looking for a

Senior Strategic Buyer IT (all genders welcome)

As a Senior Strategic Buyer IT (all genders welcome), you will take on a key role in the strategic procurement of IT-related categories. Together with your Category Manager, you will develop global sourcing strategies, lead complex sourcing initiatives, and actively shape our global supplier portfolio. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, international teams, and external partners to ensure sustainable, cost-efficient, and innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Supporting the planning and implementation of category and procurement strategies for IT categories (hardware, software, IT consulting)
• Conducting market, supplier, and spend analyses
• Planning and managing RFI/RFP processes as well as contract negotiations with global market leaders in the IT sector
• Supporting the optimization of our software landscape with regard to future strategic direction
• Using analytical tools for benchmark analysis
• Building, maintaining, and further developing strategic supplier relationships
• Evaluating supplier performance and deriving improvement measures
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met
• Alignment and knowledge exchange with international strategic buyers and IT colleagues, particularly license management
• Identifying and implementing best practices for continuous optimization

What you will bring

• Completed degree in business administration, IT, or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally with a focus on software sourcing
• Confident handling of strategic sourcing methods (RFI/RFP, negotiations, contract design) in an international business environment
• Experience in supplier management and supplier performance evaluation
• Strong (benchmark) analytical skills, ideally with experience in AI-supported analysis models
• Very good understanding of IT products, services, and relevant market structures
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, including in English
• Ability to structure complex topics and think strategically
• High level of initiative, assertiveness, and stakeholder management competence
• Strong willingness to work in a team and embody a "win-together" mindset
