We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless networks. The ideal candidate will have experience with wireless technologies, network security, RF planning, and vendor solutions such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or Huawei. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure reliable and secure wireless connectivity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure.
- Perform wireless site surveys, RF planning, and coverage optimization.
- Configure and troubleshoot wireless controllers, access points, and authentication services.
- Monitor network performance and resolve wireless connectivity issues.
- Implement and maintain wireless security protocols (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS).
- Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams during deployments and upgrades.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, and configuration backups.
- Analyze wireless performance using monitoring and spectrum analysis tools.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in on-call support and incident management when required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and networking standards.
- Strong understanding of WLAN technologies (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Knowledge of RF fundamentals, channel planning, interference mitigation, and capacity planning.
- Experience with wireless controllers and access points.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, routing, and switching.
- Experience with wireless authentication methods including 802.1X and RADIUS.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of network security best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- 3-8 years of experience in wireless networking.
- Experience with enterprise wireless platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, Huawei, or Extreme Networks.
- Experience with network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible) is an advantage.
- Experience working in enterprise, campus, healthcare, manufacturing, or large-scale environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
