Job Summary

We are seeking a Build & Cutover Engineer to support the deployment, integration, and migration of enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves building and configuring network devices, validating configurations, executing cutover activities, minimizing service disruptions, and providing post-cutover support. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with routing, switching, wireless, and network migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, and validate network devices, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
  • Execute network migration and cutover activities according to approved implementation plans.
  • Perform pre-build, staging, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) before deployment.
  • Verify hardware installation, software versions, licensing, and configuration compliance.
  • Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 network configurations, including VLANs, routing protocols, and security policies.
  • Perform pre-cutover health checks and post-cutover validation to ensure service availability.
  • Coordinate with project managers, implementation engineers, customer teams, and vendors during maintenance windows.
  • Monitor network performance during and after cutover and resolve implementation issues.
  • Execute rollback procedures if required to minimize business impact.
  • Document build records, implementation reports, test results, and as-built documentation.
  • Support change management processes and maintain compliance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in planned after-hours or weekend maintenance windows as required.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking.
  • Experience with routing and switching technologies.
  • Knowledge of VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, and static routing.
  • Experience configuring enterprise wireless infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with firewall integration and network security fundamentals.
  • Ability to execute implementation plans and rollback procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience
  • 3-7 years of experience in enterprise network deployment or migration projects.
  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Huawei, or Extreme Networks solutions.
  • Experience in campus, data center, branch, or enterprise network implementations.
  • Exposure to SD-WAN and network automation is an advantage.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise)
  • Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA)
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
  • ITIL Foundation (preferred)
