Aufgabenbeschreibung

The role Senior Contract Manager (m/f/d) in the area of Instrumentation & Control supports successful bid preparation and project delivery through value-adding contract management. It protects margin and cash flow, mitigates contractual and commercial risks, prevents uncompensated scope growth, and secures entitlement to cost, schedule, margin and liability impacts.
  • you will support bid/no-bid and risk assessments, reviews and negotiates key contract terms, identifies risks and opportunities, defines contract strategy, and ensures alignment of technical, commercial and contractual offer content during offer phase
  • you will advise project teams on contractual rights, obligations and remedies, supports entitlement preservation and ensures that additional work, cost or commitments are properly identified, approved and controlled during project execution
  • you will manage change and claim processes, including preparation, documentation, negotiation and enforcement of claims and change requests with customers, suppliers and subcontractors, while ensuring contractual coverage across the supply chain
  • you will also support the departments Procurement and Legal in project-specific purchasing conditions, critical negotiations and escalated subcontractor matters, while maintaining contract records, notices and governance, contributing to risk and opportunity management, promoting contract awareness, and supporting insurance, force majeure and exceptional event handling

Anforderungen

  • Master Degree in Engineering, Law or Business Administration
  • minimum 5-10 years experience in industrial contract management
  • demonstrated leadership in complex international matrix organizations, combining strategic stakeholder management, business-driven problem solving and resilience
  • strong experience with FIDIC, NEC3/NEC4 or bespoke contracts
  • proven capability to manage complex international contractual frameworks, combining strong project, financial, legal, compliance and negotiation skills in multi-party environments
