Application Engineer Electrical Power Supply / Secondary Engineering (f/m/d)

Help us shape the safe and reliable power supply of modern rail infrastructure.In this versatile role, you will work on secondary engineering and electrical power supply systems in the railway sector. You will combine multiple technical disciplines - ranging from application engineering and system integration to testing, commissioning, and technical customer support. In a safety-critical environment, you will make an important contribution to the reliability, availability, and long-term sustainability of modern railway infrastructure.
Your Tasks

  • Develop and parameterize applications for secondary engineering components and systems, taking into account relevant IT and OT security requirements for critical infrastructure
  • Integrate and connect external control centers, installations, and devices into our integration environments
  • Carry out functional tests, factory acceptance tests (FATs), and technical coordination activities together with our customers
  • Commission secondary engineering systems at customer sites across Germany and handle internal and external service cases
  • Provide technical support to our customers and actively contribute to the development and enhancement of concepts and requirements in the field of substation control systems
  • Support the continuous improvement of internal processes, standards, and regulations with the goal of further enhancing the quality and efficiency of testing and commissioning activities
  • Create, maintain, and update the associated technical documentation
  • Work closely with project management, systems engineering, and other specialist departments to ensure successful project execution and a high level of customer satisfaction

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed technician training or a degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
  • Experience working with parameterization and engineering tools for control and automation components, such as Relion or SIPROTEC
  • Willingness to become familiar with PCM600 and MicroSCADA
  • Experience with OMICRON test equipment as well as Fink protocol simulation and diagnostic tools is an advantage
  • Good understanding of the requirements and interfaces of adjacent disciplines such as primary engineering, power system protection, and transmission technology
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with a high level of personal responsibility
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, combined with a high level of commitment and flexibility
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business travel within Germany and the DACH region
  • Fluent German language skills are required; good English skills are an advantage
