The Teamlead (m/f/d) is leading and developing a team of commissioning engineers while he himself is also responsible for planning, executing, and validating the commissioning of mechanical systems in construction projects. His role within the project ensures that all systems are installed, tested, and operating according to design specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commissioning Engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
• Lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with commissioning plans, design requirements, local regulations, and industry best practices.
• Act as the primary escalation point for all technical, coordination, and decision-making matters within the commissioning scope.
• Develop, implement, and drive commissioning strategies, execution plans, and schedules aligned with the overall project program to ensure the successful achievement of key milestones and project objectives.
• Oversee all commissioning activities, including system testing, inspection procedures, documentation, reporting, and progress monitoring.
• Coordinate closely with clients, project stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning partners to ensure the successful integration, testing, and handover of systems.
• Ensure the timely resolution and close-out of all commissioning observations, non-conformities, punch list items, and technical issues, achieving full compliance with client requirements and project quality standards.

Show your expertise

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), Science & Technology, or a related discipline
• Several years of professional experience in commissioning, including a proven track record in a senior commissioning or comparable leadership role
• Mandatory leadership experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams
• In-depth knowledge of commissioning processes, applicable regulations, industry standards, and certification requirements
• Demonstrated experience delivering commissioning activities for data center projects or other highly complex technical environments (e.g. semiconductor facilities)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and cross-functional project teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
• Willingness to travel for business as required by project needs
