About the Position
Incumbent must have extensive and comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4, HCPCS and DRG-coding. Thorough and extensive knowledge of medical documentation requirements and auditing techniques.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service in planning, coordinating, administering, advising, monitoring, and auditing the use of International Classification of Diseases 10th Revision Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM), Diagnosis Related Group (DRG), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code assignment to assure all diagnoses and procedures are properly documented through review of medical records.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M
