About the position: This position is located at the Eifel Arms Inn on Spangdahlem AB, Germany.

This is a Flexible position (0-40 hours per week) Mon-Sun, may include holidays. Must be physically able to frequently push carts weighing more than 100 pounds; occasionally lift / carry items weighing up 50 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, stoop, and reach for long periods of time.

Military Spouse Preference is not lost if selected for this position. Logistical support may be provided.

Duties

Help

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of simple cleaning tasks associated with lodging operations.

The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, and dusting to maintain lodging facility in a clean manner.
• Emptying wastebaskets.
• Cleans glass, mirrors and windows sometimes using ladders.
• Replaces and replenishes restroom stock such as toilet tissue, hand towels, soap, etc.
• Reports leaks, clogs, and other maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Operates power cleaning equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Experience in proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Ability to perform the full range of cleaning duties and follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
• All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit.
• Probationary period may be required.
