About the position:

This position is located at the Auto Hobby Shop, Spangdahlem AB, Germany.

This position is Flexible (0-40 hours per week), Monday though Friday. May be required to work days and nights as scheduled.

Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs. Requires continuous standing, walking, and stooping.

Military Spouse Preference is not lost if selected for this position. Logistical support may be provided.

Duties

Help

The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Schedules maintenance/repair appointments
• Takes reservations and receives payment
• Generates customer invoices
• Researches and orders parts
• Checks the established safety system of facilities and areas, tools, and equipment posts
• Answers any inquiries of scheduled activities/events
• Takes inventory of automotive supplies and equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

• Must have experience with and practical knowledge of computers
• Must have experience providing quality customer service
• Must have the ability to operate a cash register
• General automotive, tool, and inventory knowledge is desirable but not required

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

• Probationary period may be required.
