As a System Architect, you take on a key role within our company and shape the system architectures of our complex IT/OT solutions across the entire lifecycle, from the proposal phase through to project implementation. YOUR TASKS
As a System Architect, you take on a key role within our company and shape the system architectures of our complex IT/OT solutions across the entire lifecycle, from the proposal phase through to project implementation. You combine technical excellence with business understanding and make a significant contribution to developing and successfully implementing competitive, scalable and future-ready system solutions.
- Development of robust, scalable and holistic system solutions, taking into account quality, risks, costs, scope and competitiveness
- Evaluation and further development of system architectures in the context of product, platform and technology roadmaps
- Conducting architecture and concept reviews at both high-level and detailed level, with a focus on technical risks, dependencies and reliable implementation
- Analysis of customer requirements, tenders and specifications, as well as derivation of technical solution concepts, variant evaluations and architecture decisions in the context of the overall system solution
- Participation in kick-offs and structured bid-to-project handovers after contract award
- Support during the project phase regarding system requirements, technical clarifications, gap analyses, concept deviations and change requests
- Derivation of improvement measures from project experience, customer feedback and root-cause analyses in the spirit of lessons learned
- Development and maintenance of standards, reference architectures, best practices and knowledge databases
- Close collaboration with Sales, Bid Management, Product Management, Engineering, Project Management, Service, Quality as well as external partners and customers
YOUR SKILLS
You think systemically, quickly understand technical interdependencies and are able to translate complex requirements into viable solution concepts.
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Initial experience as a System Architect or System Engineer, in technical project management or in a comparable technical interface role
- Very good understanding of complex hardware and software systems, system architectures, data structures or communication systems
- Experience in analyzing complex customer requirements and specifications as well as developing technical solution concepts
- Strong commitment to quality and the ambition to develop systems holistically, sustainably and across the entire lifecycle
- Ability to think in terms of platforms, reuse and scalability, with a view to current projects, lessons learned and future product strategies
- Solution-oriented mindset, decision-making skills and a good sense of technical risks, costs, quality and feasibility
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate between business, technology, customers and internal stakeholders in order to enable sound decisions
- Team-oriented way of working and enjoyment in bringing different departments together to develop joint solutions
- Ability to prepare, present and discuss technically complex topics in a way that is clear and understandable for different stakeholders and business levels
- Very good German and English skills
