Focus Area: Industrial Product Management - Mendix

We're looking for an SGP Participant in Industrial Product Management at Mendix, with a specific focus on:

  • Digital manufacturing and industrial software solutions
  • Industry 4.0, automation and agentic orchestration
  • AI-driven transformation of industrial processes

Over two exciting and transformative years, you'll rotate through three goal-oriented and strategic assignments that expose you to the real-world challenges and opportunities of agentic enterprise, industrial digitalisation, software innovation, and product strategy.

As part of the Mendix team, you'll work alongside product leaders, engineers, manufacturing experts, and customers to help shape the future of industrial software solutions. You'll gain first-hand experience in product management, digital manufacturing, industrial transformation, and AI-powered innovation.

From modernising factory operations to enabling smarter engineering processes, you'll contribute to solutions that help global enterprises accelerate their digital transformation journeys.

Your strengths in analytical thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and structured problem-solving will play a key role in helping Mendix and Siemens deliver innovative products that create measurable business value for industrial customers worldwide.

This is how you'll win us over

Education:

A Master's, Diploma, or Doctoral degree in:

  • Industrial Engineering (preferably with a digital manufacturing, automation, or systems focus)
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Digital Engineering
  • Industrial Technology Management
  • Or related disciplines combining engineering, technology, and business

Experience & Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Industrial software solutions (main focus on PLM, MES, QMS and automation)
  • Digital manufacturing initiatives
  • Product development or product management
  • Process optimisation and operational excellence
  • Data analytics or AI-driven business transformation

Additional strengths include:

  • Strong structured problem-solving skills
  • Ability to bridge business requirements and engineering solutions
  • Curiosity and aptitude for learning new technologies quickly
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals
  • Interest in industrial digitalisation and emerging technologies
  • Practical industry exposure through internships, innovation projects, research, or work experience
  • Minimum 4 months of international experience (studies, internships, exchange programs, or work experience)

  • Strong systems thinking and analytical reasoning
  • Interest in shaping the future of industrial digitalisation

Languages:

  • Business fluent English
  • Dutch or German is an advantage

Location: Netherlands or Germany (with potential for a global assignment)

Target Career Path: Industrial Product Manager

Our Benefits & Rewards

The starting salary for this position is €60,000 per annum. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
